One of the most recognizable monuments in Paris, the Arc de Triomphe was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to commemorate the victory at Austerlitz-- cited by historians as one of the emperor's most tactical masterpieces. The neoclassical monument would take 30 years to complete and honors the French soldiers lost in the revolutionary and Napoleonic wars.
Crafted in 18 karat gold, with the French eagle head hallmark, the underside of the charm is inscribed "C. Blanca", who was perhaps the original purchaser of the charm which most likely was to commemorate a trip to Paris. It is the perfect piece for any lover of the French capitol and measures just under 3/4 inch by 7/16 inch.
