This stunning example of Edwardian jewelry, circa 1915, features 13 old European cut diamonds with a total weight of approximately 1.20 carats, graded I-K average color, and with clarity grades ranging from SI1-I2. Overall, the stones appear well matched and eye-clean. The ring is crafted in platinum with a metal hallmark and two unknown marks, most likely indicating the maker.

Delicate filigree and fine millgraining is characteristic of Edwardian jewelry, due to the technological advancements of the late 19th century which allowed jewelers to work with platinum. The use of platinum, which is incredibly durable and malleable, allowed jewelers to lay down thin platinum wires to form filigree, and hand-engrave detailed motifs that would not wear away like gold does. 

This ring is a fine example of platinum work and due to the engraving around the band cannot be sized.
