A beautifully engraved Edwardian heart pendant featuring delicate floral motifs, including forget-me-nots which were an enduring Victorian and Edwardian symbol of remembrance and devotion. The front cartouche remains blank, offering the option for a personal engraving. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1902, and bearing a maker’s mark likely belonging to Phelps Brothers, a firm known for producing 9 karat gold jewelry during the period. The pendant has a beautiful beveled bail that is original to the piece and also marked for 9k gold.
The pendant measures 1 1/8 long, including the bail.
