A finely proportioned bar pin set in platinum over 18 karat gold, centered by an old European cut diamond weighing approximately 0.90 carats, graded I–J color and VS clarity. The center stone is framed by black onyx, creating a crisp contrast that highlights the linear composition.
Additional old European and rose cut diamonds, totaling approximately 0.20 carats, are set along the tapered form with delicate milgrain detailing. The slender profile, lightness of construction, and use of platinum are characteristic of the Edwardian period, circa 1915, with early hints of the geometric direction that would later define Art Deco design.
The brooch measures 6.1cm long and 0.6cm wide at the widest point.
