This vintage ring from the 1950s centers a marquise cut diamond weighing approximately 0.85 carat, graded G–H color and SI2 clarity, mounted horizontally in an east–west orientation. The center stone is framed by twenty-eight round brilliant cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.45 carat, all set in 14 karat white gold.
The east–west setting gained popularity in mid-century design for its modern silhouette and flattering, elongated appearance on the hand. The marquise cut, originally developed in 18th-century France, experienced a revival during this period as jewelers embraced shapes that balanced drama with elegance. This ring captures that aesthetic beautifully, merging classic form with contemporary flair.
US ring size 5.25, cannot be resized.
